Firefighters contained damage to a basement room in a two-alarm fire Saturday in West Easton, the borough’s fire chief said.
No one was injured in the fire reported about 10:20 a.m. at 306 Front St., West Easton Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 Chief William Bolgari Jr. said.
Calling a second alarm brought in firefighters and trucks from Wilson Borough, Easton and Palmer Township, he said. West Easton police also assisted, with ambulance crews on the scene.
The first and second floors of the home sustained some smoke damage, Bolgari said.
The cause remained under investigation.
